"The Innovation Alliance recognizes the progress that has been made in the manager's amendment.  In its current form, we will not oppose its passage this Congress.  This is not the bill we would have written, but everyone should understand that is the nature of compromise.  We are concerned, however, about changes to the text that may be sought in the House of Representatives.  Achieving this compromise was long and difficult, as compromise often is.  Revisiting issues laid to rest in this manager's amendment would turn back the clock on this debate and force the Innovation Alliance to review its position.  We deeply appreciate the Committee leadership's willingness to engage with us throughout this process and look forward to continuing a constructive dialogue."
